I am a 2D artist. I work in a variety of materials. including all the traditional forms, painting, drawing, printmaking as in monoprinting and collage. I also write stories and poems together with illustrations to make hand made artists books.

The vastness and infinite manifestations of nature are my starting points of inspiration. Visual connectedness, pathways, horizons and journeys, changing forms, dissolution and formation of shifting perspectives and spaces which contain the stuff of memories and experience. The earth and skies wrap this resonance in an embrace of light. I draw as I walk, either in my head or in a sketch book, but ultimately it is the same process, I call it successive or sequential drawing or drawing in motion.

This captures movement, and movement is in life, animated. It becomes an experiential response and a kind of yearning to grasp the invisibility of the ineffable, like trying to catch hold of a dream which begins to elude us as we wake. There is beauty everywhere, but it has to be present and felt within for us to apprehend it.... like love.

This is my homage to Nature, it's grandeur and it's sublime force.There is a still point within the focus of our concentrated gaze in contrast to the flux of constant change and movement in the outer world. Moving lines, light and hues, disappearing horizons and vanishing pathways all contribute to this vast motion of changing pattern and it is never the same from second to second. The broad sweep of grand rhythms, coupled with flights of the imagination intensify and purify the view.
